The Story
Shebre's debut in South America came in 2017 at the International Folk Music and Dance Festival in Gorbea, Chile. Set in the lush Araucanía region, the festival draws folk and traditional performance groups from across the globe. Shebre's performances — featuring Ewe drumming, Kpanlogo dance, and Adowa ceremonial movements — stood out for their rhythmic complexity and visual intensity, earning warm receptions from both festival audiences and fellow performers.
