From the mountains of Seorak to the streets of Accra — rhythm connects us all.

The Story
The 2013 International Seorak Festival in Sokcho City, South Korea brought Shebre to East Asia for the first time. Held in the shadow of Seoraksan National Park, the festival is one of Asia's most prominent folk arts gatherings. Shebre's performances of Kpanlogo and Azonto routines drew enthusiastic crowds, and the group participated in a series of cultural exchange workshops with Korean traditional performance artists. The engagement demonstrated the universality of rhythm as a cultural language.
